Sex and The Southern Belle

...metaphorically that is. I am a BIG, HUGE perfume girl. I don't step out the house, not time of the year, without perfume. I think every woman needs a signature scent (thanks Hilary over at www.hilarywithonel.blogspot.com for that!)  I have my personal favs but I think women need perfume in the following categories 1) light and airy 2)fruity 3)flowery 4) deep/dark/woodsy/musky (not MUSTY...musky..big difference) I've had my things that I've rocked for years (Chanel No.5,  Chloe, Halston, Lovely, any and everything Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren, etc...) but there are some new kids on the  block that I am TOTALLY enamored with. 1) Tom Ford Black Orchid This falls under the "dark/woodsy" category. I love it. Def a "undress me and have your way with me" scent. I've had men stop me and ask me "So what are you wearing" when Ive worn this. Very alluring and flattering. Not to mention, even the bottle is deep and dark. 2) L by L.A.M.B...

What is it about FEET that turns men on? I just don't get it. Ever since I was a little girl and saw Eddie Murphy go nuts over womens' feet in Boomerang , I still didn't understand the fascination. It's just FEET. I dont think feet are meant to be pretty. I mean, they work hard for you every single day!  I never dated a guy so into feet...well....not until I got divorced. Now it seems like errywhere I turn, some bama is into feet! What gives, America?? I mean, it seems as though EVERY guy I meet is into a woman with "pretty toes and feet". WTF son! I can understand if you dont want a sista to have ashy heels looking like she is from a third world country. And of course, when summer comes, your pedicure should be just right.  Not to mention, feet are essential for my shoe obsession (lol). She was telling me about one of her girlfriends who is in a blossoming relationship and how she changed her attitude and approach to it. It's SPRING!!! Flowers are in bloom... April showers feel and smell so fresh...the sun is warm against our cocoa colored skin...pollen is in full effect...and it can only mean one thing: Time to do some yard work! Trim the hedges...mow the lawn....pick the weeds....and most importantly ..GET A BRAZILIAN WAX ! *sigh* Ah yes...Spring signals that all important time in MY grooming timeline. Before I pull out a single skirt, I have to tidy up. Long gone are winters were a little more hair than normal is cool (Don't get me wrong..I do NOT go full African/Amazonian Bush woman..just not as low as usual.) Therefore, it's time to trim the hedges, clean the leaves out the yard, and get a brazilian wax.
